Nether Green Nursery
Nether Green Nursery is a family run early years provider located in a spacious church building in Sheffield 11, close to the Nether Green, Fulwood and Broomhill areas of the city. Our nursery is conveniently located with good bus services to and from the city centre. Our setting is spread across two large bright and airy rooms with plenty of natural light. We have a fabulous large garden for children to enjoy during their nursery day. Local parks such as Forge Dam and Endlcliffe Park are also easily accessible.
Our setting is safe, stimulating and challenging environment for children aged between 6 months and 5 years. We firmly believe that by maintaining good links and working closely with parents and carers this provides the basis for a successful nursery experience for all. The nursery is run by an experienced and friendly staff team who work closely with our two other settings in Sheffield. We offer exceptional childcare with the emphasis on nurturing children and developing them into happy, creative and independent individuals who are fully prepared for their next steps in learning.
We provide a nurturing environment helping children to build confidence and feel safe and happy at all times. We encourage learning by providing a relaxed and homely environment whilst constantly observing children’s interests. Staff enjoy planning activities that are child led and based around their interests taking the opportunity to further extend their learning through play and exploration. Good communication with parents and carers is an essential part of our work and helps us to plan and care for your child ensuring the best outcomes for learning and development.
The transition from nursery to school is important and we recognise that by working closely with teaching professionals, we can help to make sure the transition is as smooth as possible. Prior to the start of school and usually in the last few weeks of term, we invite reception teachers to visit our nursery to get to know the children and to meet with our staff.
We have extensive experience of working with other educational and healthcare professionals who regularly visit us to help us to support children with additional needs.
